What this bingo game teaches
Colors Bingo strengthens reading color words, spelling patterns, and shades beyond primaries (teal, maroon, turquoise, etc.). It is a strong fit for Grade 1 when students are moving from oral color names to print.
How to use it in class
Read the word list together once before playing. Display an anchor chart or color strips the first time. You can shorten the game with a 4×4 grid in the editor if your block is tight. After bingo, have students write one sentence using a color word or sort classroom objects by the list.
Create this game free: press Play this template free — it opens BingoGoat in Words Bingo with this 24-word list and a free center square. Adjust words if your curriculum uses different spellings (e.g. Grey), then launch and share the link.
