What this bingo game teaches
Weather Bingo supports observation vocabulary: sun, rain, snow, clouds, rainbow, thunder, wind, and related terms. It fits morning meeting routines, seasons units, and simple science standards about the sky and daily conditions. Picture cards help pre-readers stay in the game while still hearing rich language.
How to use it in class
Tie each round to “What’s the weather today?” Project the host board if you can; students mark matching pictures on their devices. Keep clues concrete for kindergarten (“white flakes from the sky” → snow). For Grade 1, ask students to use the word in a short sentence after someone wins.
