What this bingo game teaches
Shapes Bingo helps young learners name and recognize 2D figures such as circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, ovals, diamonds, pentagons, hexagons, stars, hearts, and more. Hearing the shape name while scanning a picture card builds geometry vocabulary and visual discrimination — key skills in kindergarten and early first grade.
How to use it in class
Use this template for a short whole-group game (10–15 minutes) or as a center rotation. Call shapes by name, or give clues (“three straight sides”) before revealing the word. Connect to real objects in the room or pattern blocks after the round. Picture Bingo works well for emergent readers because the grid uses images from the Shapes gallery; students still practice listening and speaking.
Create this game free: tap the yellow Play this template free button above — it opens the BingoGoat editor in Picture Bingo mode with the shapes theme pre-selected. Pick the required number of images from the gallery, launch, and share one link with your class. Players join in the browser with no app and no student accounts.
